We are backed by top-tier Fintech and AI VCs - General Catalyst, QED, Gradient (Google’s venture fund to invest in AI companies), Expa, and more.

We pride ourselves in rethinking established paradigms and bringing creative solutions into existence for our customers. This includes vision setting, designing solutions, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.

⚒️Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand our members’ (user) needs, business objectives, and state of the industry to imagine & bring to life paradigm-changing experiences.
  • Explore broad-to-narrow solutions with thoughtful design.
  • Ideate, design, launch and improve products which help us advance the Collective’s mission.
  • Work with a cross functional product development team (product managers, engineers, designers, operations, sales & marketing) to ship innovative and well-crafted experiences, for scale.
  • Optimize for execution velocity while maintaining a high quality bar, making tradeoffs between design choices and resources available.
  • Contribute to growing a robust & refined design system.

🙌 What we want you to bring:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • Demonstrated impact on product strategy and customer experience in previous roles, preferably within Fintech or Consumer Tech.
  • Passion for turning complex problems into simple & engaging solutions.
  • Innate understanding of the end-to-end design process - from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Outstanding UX capabilities and strong visual design competency, including visual, UI/UX, copy writing and systems-design.
  • The ability to apply consumer insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap.
  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey.
  • Passion for an iterative process. You think fast on your feet, come up with solutions to important situations, are swift to make decisions and take calculated risks, while soliciting and acting on feedback.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, as well as the ability to align teams and stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Growth mindset, proactively seeking out opportunities to improve, always searching for new knowledge and ideas. You experiment, learn from failure, and iterate.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Previous work experience in a consumer-focused tech organization.
  • Experience in customer journey mapping and strategic design to complement design foundations.
  • Familiarity in creating interactive prototypes to enhance the customer story.
  • A passion for design systems with experience building UI components from scratch and expanding an existing design system.
  • A design evangelist with strong business acumen to help further the value of design within an organization.

  • Tax is a very challenging space and you will grow fast.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
