What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Ecommerce to lead our online sales and marketing strategies. This role is pivotal in enhancing our digital presence, driving online revenue, and ensuring a seamless customer experience across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ecommerce best practices, a proven track record in driving online sales growth, and a passion for sustainable transportation solutions.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ecommerce strategy aligned with ChargePoint's business objectives and market trends.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and IT, to ensure cohesive execution of ecommerce initiatives.
  • Drive channel marketing objectives

Performance Management

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, conversion rates, average order value (AOV), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Optimize the ecommerce platform to enhance user experience, increase traffic, and improve conversion rates.
  • Analyze website analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Team Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ecommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop integrated campaigns that drive ecommerce success.

Technology & Operations

  • Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and performance of ecommerce platforms and related technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of third-party tools and solutions, such as payment gateways, CRM systems, and logistics platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain website security and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Customer Experience

  • Develop strategies to improve user experience, personalization, and customer retention.
  • Implement and manage loyalty programs, promotions, and discounts to enhance customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Utilize customer feedback and insights to refine online shopping experiences.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or retail; 3+ years in a leadership role.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
  • Expertise in SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media advertising, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar ecommerce budgets and achieving growth targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Familiarity with channel strategies and integrating offline and online customer experiences.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and fulfillment processes.
  • A creative thinker who can balance innovation with operational excellence.

Nice to haves

  • Understanding and experience in, UX, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Google Analytics
  • High proficiency in relevant tools, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Google Analytics.
  • Broad experience of attribution modelling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization.
  • Strong MarTech background, with experience managing marketing and tech teams

Location

US - Remote

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $117,500 to $228,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
