What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the material scheduling strategy and processes, ensuring material supply meets demand in each of our multi-national sites. Load the Revenue MPS into a material demand plan to run through the MRP process for each site. Provide guidance to buyer/ planners for ordering and to understand lead times and develop creative flexibility strategies. Provide a coordinated supply response each month
- Work with master schedulers/planners to understand strategic information that impacts the forecast, such as upcoming product transitions or introductions, or critical sales strategies
- Using deep understanding of demand planning processes and BOM structure, evaluate MRP demand through pegging, and utilization of differing procurement approaches to planning ABC items
- Ensure and maintain data integrity of BOM structures, planning/item master parameters in planning/ERP systems. Review ECO/MCO activities or manufacturing transitions from in house production to turnkey
- Support, resolve and troubleshoot MRP-related planning/ERP system issues
- Support E&O analysis activities and reporting, including development of system-generated reports, providing product-level analysis/disposition and summary/management reporting
- Manage inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place
- Support planning/MRP system implementation or enhancement activities and work with Business Applications team to improve processes and reporting
- Help enhance the support of warranty and spare parts planning utilizing planning tools vs spreadsheets
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Applicable system knowledge:
- NetSuite/comparable ERP systems, and Arena/Agile PDM systems
- 3rd Party Planning Engine such as Oracle Supply Planning Cloud
- High level of expertise with Excel, able to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets and data to simplify presentation review/analysis
- Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Power Point, Outlook
- Analytical and detail oriented, including understanding of ECO/MCO processes, and deep knowledge of purchasing, materials, operations processes
- Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and maintain focus to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience in Material Planning in a high-tech manufacturing environment
- Significant experience with both manufacturing startups and established/growing manufacturing organizations, including global organizational experience
- Experience with multi-level BOM product structures and planning/item master parameter strategies
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work with close-knit teams in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
