Catchpoint Professional Services organisation is one that works with some of Catchpoint’s largest customers to help them monitor, improve and maintain their web and mobile performance with expert advice and recommendations. The Performance Specialist takes the multiple variables that can impact site performance and help customers understand where to take action that will have the largest impact. 

What will success look like in this position? 

Success in this position will involve effectively collaborating with clients to ensure their digital experience and overall observability from the end-user perspective are enhanced. This includes providing insightful analysis and strategic guidance, leveraging expert recommendations. You'll hold a pivotal role in identifying critical factors affecting both site performance and comprehensive observability. Your guidance will lead clients toward impactful solutions, aligning with our mission to prioritize monitoring and observability to ensure businesses deliver on their promises to their end-users. Additionally, success will entail maintaining strong client relationships, identifying and addressing technical issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. The role also involves contributing to marketing efforts, managing client expectations, and actively participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health of popular websites in internet, customer websites and identify issues with them.
  • Identify industry leaders and create performance benchmark.
  • Work with Marketing as a technical resource – create custom deliverables involving detailed analysis and drill down for articles, blog posts and press releases
  • Manage customer expectations by leveraging internal teams
  • Work as an extension of your clients team, assisting in ad hoc analysis or testing
  • Ability and means to travel as needed
  • Research, analyse, and resolve customer issues and questions
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Collaborate with engineering in identifying product defects, designing solutions, and testing.
  • Work closely with product management in identifying customer needs and requirements, and validate future feature designs

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in data driven analysis
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture etc.
  • Knowledge in DNS, HTTP, CDN and browser rendering.
  • 0-2 years in performance optimization and management
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, JS, CSS, networking, Content Delivery Networks etc.
  • Excellent at understanding and analysing data
  • Good understanding of various system architectures and networking devices (servers, load balancers, routers, etc)
  • Experience in desktop, mobile and mobile app performance optimization
  • Excellent conceptualisation and communication skills.  Able to educate business and technical people around concepts, and guide them to work towards providing optimised solutions
  • Great listening skills and good with customers
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
