C3 AI is seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Automation Manager to work with Engineering, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Services to drive the software quality for our existing and emerging products.

This role focuses on quality and performance validation and sign-off for all our software releases. You will hire, mentor and train QA Automation engineers.  You will lead the team to perform product testing and triage the defects identified. You will collaborate with the product, engineering stakeholders throughout all steps of the software development lifecycle. You will also drive the automation of new test cases in our existing automation frameworks and oversee the automation execution and reporting. This his position will also require frequent communication and interactions with the senior leadership team.

Aligned to the Director of Quality Assurance Engineering in Redwood City, CA, you will manage and grow a team of senior and junior QA Automation engineers in Guadalajara, Mexico to ensure that we are shipping the highest quality software possible. Responsibilities:

  • Build a deep understanding of C3 AI Suite and C3 AI SaaS application to thoroughly understand all use case scenarios.
  • Collaborate with program and product management for prioritization of deliverables and resource allocation.
  • Drive test planning, test case creation and test execution to support ongoing C3 AI product releases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to triage and track defects through resolution.
  • Generate and report test status to stakeholders and be a strong proponent for product quality at C3 AI.
  • Ensure all QA Automation engineers are investing time in test case automation to gain in productivity.
  • Establish and enforce best practices and standards like acceptance criteria, exit criteria, go/no go recommendation, etc.
  • Set team members quarterly objectives, plan employees career growth and conduct yearly performance reviews.
  • Recruit and retain exceptional talent to ensure team achieves expected growth objectives.
  • Manage, Mentor and Guide the Redwood QA Automation team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field
  • At least 3 years managing a QA team at a company focused on enterprise applications, Software as a Service (SaaS), or Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Possess a thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
  • Background in UI and/or API test case automation
  • Working knowledge with CI/CD and Jenkins pipelines
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding team player with the ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field
  • Experience working on web applications and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in software development with Selenium, Python, JavaScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Familiarity with Big Data systems like Apache Spark /Hadoop / Distributed Systems
  • Possess good understanding of programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of common machine learning techniques
