Branch is seeking a Senior Operations Accountant to join its Finance organization. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter eager to help lead and manage a best-in-class accounting function. In this role you’ll have direct oversight of key finance operations and accounting functions. As a key member of the global team, you will help us in designing and maintaining best practices, internal controls, and an efficient month-end close process. The role will be critical to supporting Branch’s next phase of growth and profitability. 

The ideal candidate will have international and consolidation accounting expertise as well as previous experience in both public and private accounting. They should also possess strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Accountant, Operations, you’ll get to:

    • Hands on role to support team leadership in managing daily finance and accounting operations
    • Lead various processes of Branch’s month-end close, including the recording and reconciliation of journal entries, allocations and global consolidation
    • Support internal and external financial reporting by analyzing trends and variances
    • Communicate and monitor adherence to company-wide policies and practices to achieve company objectives
    • Contribute to the implementation of new processes in Branch’s key financial systems, particularly NetSuite
    • Drive key aspects of the annual audit process 
    • Develop relationships with external partners, including our auditors and key strategic vendor partners
    • Liaise and collaborate with other departments, such as People, FP&A, Workplace and Legal, as a Finance point-of-contact on impactful corporate initiatives
    • Respond to inbound employee inquiries regarding general Finance matters
    • Tackle ad hoc projects (e.g. research and document issues, special projects, etc.)

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in public and corporate accounting; Big 4 experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or aspirations to obtain
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, including international consolidation and FX
  • Strong written, oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work product
  • Solid Excel skills a must (think Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Experience with ERPs (NetSuite preferred) and T&E tools
  • Bias towards execution and proven ability to clearly and concisely implement new processes and effectively communicate with a global team
  • Desire to work independently and simultaneously collaborate with a remote team

This role will be based at our new Austin, TX office and in alignment with our return to office policy, this role follows our Hybrid schedule. This position is required to be hybrid in office at Austin. Branch is not open to supporting relocation at this time.

The salary range provided represents base compensation and does not include potential equity, which is available for qualifying positions.
