HOW YOU’LL FLY
You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Researching, understanding, and preparing accounting treatment for operating, finance, embedded and real estate lease accounting under ASC 842 including documentation of memos, schedules and related reconciliations.
- Assistance with inventory accounting (working with the Director of Cost Accounting) to capture standard vs. actual cost variances and assist in evaluating reserves and other inventory related estimates, etc.
- Working cross-functionally with other teams within the business to ensure proper accounting treatment and assessment and documentation of ad hoc complex accounting transactions.
- Assisting with preparation of SEC reporting documents (proxy filings, 10-Q and 10-K) for relevant areas (i.e., leases, inventory, complex transactions).
- Successfully ensuring compliance with global regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Serving as key contact for external audits by working with external auditors proactively on technical matters.
- Other accounting areas or projects as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
- 4+ years of experience in technical accounting (Big 4 public accounting and/or biotech industry experience preferred).
- Knowledge of relevant GAAP accounting standards.
- Understanding of real estate lease accounting under ASC 842
- Experience in assisting with preparation of SEC reporting documents
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal and external parties of the Company.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy and comfort with large amounts of data.
Location: primarily remote with ability to commute on-site on intermittent basis.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $128,500 - $144,000. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as paid holidays, bluebird days, and a holiday shutdown in December.
