We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Developer Experience team. This team is responsible for the internal platform that improves developer velocity to ship Micro Services. We do this by partnering with various teams to gather feedback to continuously improve the platform. Our platform provides engineers with a paved-road templates enabling them to focus on what’s important to them, their code.
As a Software Engineer II, you’ll be responsible for:
- Develop and maintain Production Scorecard tool to ensure services meet production readiness standards (GoLang)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate scorecard checks into deployment pipelines.
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to BILL Architecture Standards.
- Integrate scorecard visibility into DataDog with Slack notifications
- Automate rules engine to minimize manual checks and ensure real-time compliance reporting
- Work with BILL Engineers to support their journey to the cloud
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Strong programming fundamentals (GoLang)
- Experience experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab preferred)
- Experience with AWS services
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform/CFT
- Deep understanding of system design and architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
