As a Flutter Engineer at Bash , you will work on an ever-evolving ecosystem of shared modules and components (Flutter mono-repo) used to deliver experiences to customers both on their own devices and within physical TFG stores. This role in particular is in the store-enablement space, where just this year, we have successfully launched BashStore, a new staff-facing mobile POS deployed in stores across the country. Your role will be to help the store team build incremental features to drive adoption and support scaling the product even further in the coming months, as well as start on new in-store initiatives in both the sales & fulfilment space.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is moving fast to iterate and explore what true omni-channel selling looks like in retail.
Skills you already have:
- A passion for building frontend experiences.
- Some experience in a frontend mobile framework like Android (Java/Kotlin), iOS (Swift) or Flutter / ReactNative.
- BSc Computer Science Honours or equivalent is encouraged (strong work experience can fill this gap).
Nice but not required:
- Experience building production-ready mobile applications in Flutter
- A strong understanding of different design patterns in mobile applications (MVP, MVVM, BLoC etc)
- Experience in bridging native & Flutter code (plugins/packages).
- Experience in testing in Flutter, and familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment in Mobile Applications.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, with some of this being in Flutter.
- Experience working with REST & GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with other languages outside of the mobile space, specifically C#, Python, JS/Typescript or Golang.
What you will do day- to- day:
- Work with various teams within the Experience Division to deliver experiences that focus on helping customers.
- Work on in-store solutions in the sales and fulfilment space.
- Manage and optimise high traffic products while also being comfortable building POCs to kick-start new initiatives.
- Explore, ideate, validate, and build products that ensure our users have a clear and easy path to purchase.
- Define metrics and track progress against them regularly.
- Communicate plans and progress to cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Drive the execution and delivery of your team’s goals.
