Bad Robot Games is seeking a creative, proactive, and community-focused individual to join our team as a Community & Content Creator. The ideal candidate is a content creator with a passion for gaming, able to craft engaging in-game content for channels like YouTube and TikTok. You will be crucial in maintaining a vibrant community, managing our Discord server, monitoring our Steam and Reddit pages, and building relationships with other content creators. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys content creation and community engagement while being hands-on with emerging trends in gaming communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation: Create high-quality in-game content for platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Leverage your creativity and content creator experience to produce videos, streams, and other media that excite and engage our player base.
  • Creator Outreach: Cultivate relationships with influencers and streamers to boost our game’s visibility and foster collaborations.
  • Game Tools for Creators: Collaborate with the development team to provide feedback and insights on improving in-game tools and features that will empower content creators to generate compelling content more easily.
  • Discord Management: Oversee and manage our Discord server, including creating and managing bots. Ensure the community remains healthy and welcoming by moderating discussions and preventing toxicity.
  • Community Monitoring: Act as our eyes on key community platforms such as Steam, Reddit, and others. Engage with the community by answering common questions, providing updates, and escalating important discussions or issues to the development team.
  • Event and Campaign Support: Assist in executing community-driven events, challenges, and content drops, collaborating closely with the dev team.
  • Community Feedback: Gather and analyze player feedback from social platforms to help inform development decisions and future game content.
  • Regional Support: Support external vendors and partners who manage our regional communities to ensure alignment on community strategies, messaging, and content, as well as to support regional events and initiatives.
  • Paid Influencer Activations: Collaborate with influencers for paid activations, ensuring all sponsored content is aligned with our brand, messaging, and campaign goals to maintain consistency and authenticity.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, high-quality in-game content for YouTube, TikTok, or other platforms. A portfolio showcasing creativity and an understanding of audience engagement is required.
  • Hands-on experience managing online gaming communities, particularly on Discord, Steam, and Reddit. Strong moderation skills and experience creating and managing bots to keep communities healthy and engaging.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with influencers and streamers to build partnerships and collaborations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for engaging with community members, internal teams, and external partners. Comfortable representing the brand across platforms and fostering positive relationships with creators.
  • A deep passion for video games and an understanding of the gaming community's needs, culture, and trends.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, manage crises, and provide quick solutions to community issues.
  • Ability to gather and analyze community feedback from multiple platforms. Proficiency in translating feedback into actionable insights for development and content teams.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively seek out opportunities to engage the community and create content.
  • All of our roles require up to 10% air travel. Examples include Studio/Team Offsites, Team/Studio Events, etc.


Annual Salary Range: $102,500 - $107,500

Our ranges are based on California market rate regardless of work location in the US.
