We are also on a journey to improve the processes for procurement across the entire organization with innovation, speed, and collaboration.  The Director, Center of Excellence position will lead multiple disciplines within our Global Procurement function including Procurement Operations, Travel & Expense Management, process and tools, and drive compliance functions. You will need a strong vision and urgency to deliver on several transformational initiatives.

The Director, Center of Excellence reports to our Vice President of Finance Shared Services within the CFO organization.  It is a key position with high visibility to deliver impactful results and drive end-user efficiency and compliance.  You will manage a staff of program managers and operations specialists and therefore a strong P2P experience base is preferred. 

Your Impact

  • Lead team of program managers to drive global program excellence for Finance Shared Services, including functions within Procurement, Travel, Credit Cards, Expense Management.
  • Foster departmental operational excellence, develop and drive improvement initiatives, annual planning, and execution.
  • Drive the Indirect Procurement lifecycle processes for Anaplan and execute a tool strategy to support procurement strategies partnering with Strategic Sourcing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes, and support audits as necessary.
  • Drive purchase order creation, contract signature process, and contract lifecycle procedures.
  • Collaborate and develop strategic relationships with the business, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support unified goals, and enable smart buying decisions.
  • Manage your amazing global staff with empathy and inclusion while motivating the staff to meet performance objectives and drive results.
  • Accountable for analytics to drive positive business outcomes.
  • Execute expense management policies and monitor reimbursement programs across the company.
  • Lead company-wide Travel program and ensure adherence to policies and spending parameters including traveler safety and security.
  • Expense policy monitoring, ensuring appropriate use of company assets and credit cards.
  • Help drive procurement strategies and strengthen business partner relationships to support cross-functional team objectives.
  • Drive departmental performance metrics and provide input for areas of opportunity and make recommendations where applicable for projects.
  • Liaise between internal partners, clients, suppliers, legal, and security/IT teams to quarterback projects, including developing the strategy, executing a contract, and reviewing purchases, product specifications, and project status.
  • Utilize benchmarks, quality control, and experience to find opportunities to optimize cost and improve service.
  • Maintain supplier relationships with key players, monitor performance against Service Level Agreements and business expectations, and manage any remediation as required.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, or equivalent experience plus seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a sourcing/project management-related occupation.

Seven (7) years of experience should include:

  • Leading global procurement technology-enabled process design and improvement using business excellence techniques, such as design excellence, and collaborating with peers, business stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure strong alignment to deliver elegant, easy-to-use solutions that meet business needs;
  • Knowledge of operational procurement tools to ensure the most efficient Source-to-Pay or Procure-to-Pay suite;
  • Demonstrated Change Management concepts on broad process release;
  • Program and/or Project Management certification preferred or equivalent experience delivering on-time complex companywide projects;
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring appropriate technical program governance and championing the use of technology, automation, and data/insights to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and improved experience;
  • Three years of people management experience motivating and driving high-performing teams.
