Procurement Specialist (Contractor)

The role of Procurement Specialist (Contractor) is essential to the growth of our organization, as they will provide vital support to Adicet Bio's procurement activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our R&D, G&A, and Technical Operations teams to ensure efficient procurement of lab and office supplies. This will involve managing vendor relationships, facilitating smooth order processing, communicating with stakeholders, generating reports, and performing other essential purchasing activities to maximize buying power and create value. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist will oversee daily tasks such as maintaining vendor records, processing purchase orders, collaborating with Accounts Payable team requests, and communicating with third-party suppliers and stakeholders as needed when managing requisitions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and/or responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: o Manage vendor relationships and ensure that supplier details meet company standards and expectations. o Issue purchase orders for laboratory and office supplies in a timely and efficient manner. o Follow up with suppliers on order statuses and provide order and shipment updates to stakeholders as needed. o Update banking details after receiving approval from finance and ensure that all payment information is accurate and up to date. o Create bi-weekly reports showcasing purchases and identifying goods received to AP team in preparation for invoice payment. o Analyze purchasing trends and recommend process improvements to streamline procurement activities. o Work closely with Sr. Manager, Procurement to ensure that all procurement activities are completed on time and within budget. o Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure that their procurement needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. o Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and ensure that all documentation is up to date and readily available.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in procurement or a related field, preferably in a biotech, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, time-management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and communicate effectively with cross[1]functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, creating reports in Excel, and experience using Procure to Pay software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
Hourly Pay
$45$63 USD

Adicet fosters a collaborative, high-performing environment by prioritizing in-person engagement. To enhance teamwork and communication, employees are required to be onsite at least three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday mandatory), with some roles requiring full-time onsite presence.
