EquipmentShare is searching for an Account Manager for our Forge + Build products and services in the Columbia, mid- Missouri market. This is an exciting opportunity for outside sales reps from the construction industry to be a part of a new and growing division with us!

The Account Manager will expand the customer base by building relationships with contractors and construction companies. They will pitch Forge + Build products and services, maintain and nurture existing customer relationships by providing excellent service, and keep them up-to-date on new products. They will effectively manage complaints and inquiries in a prompt manner. They will be expected to consistently develop new sales strategies and techniques to increase the overall Forge + Build market share and improve the customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Present and sell Forge + Build products and services 

  • Maintain monthly sales quotas and customer experience ratings

  • Consistently go out of your way to assist potential and current customers

  • Must be able to easily pitch to large groups and to ask for the close of the sale

  • Needs to be comfortable with cold calling new prospects

  • Collaborate with the General Manager on territory sales initiatives 

  • Responsible for multi-unti locations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 years of outside sales experience

  • Must be able to physically visit locations within assigned territory

  • Previous sales experience in the construction industry preferred. General knowledge of the construction industry a plus

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills needed 

  • Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast pace environment

  • Able to overcome sales objections 

  • Must be able to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs

  • May be subjected to extreme outside temperatures while helping customers with equipment
