EquipmentShare is Hiring a Senior Tax Manager

Job Summary: EquipmentShare is searching for a Tax Senior Manager to lead and develop our tax function, including tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax planning initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, this is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, employee-minded company with the objective of building the tax function needed to support the Company’s business plans. The person will be located in Columbia, Missouri, offering a flexible work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Be an integral part of building and executing a road map for the future of the tax organization.
  • Work across functions in developing effective processes and technologies to support continued growth and scalability.
  • Partner with the Company’s broader finance organization to deliver analytical solutions and to determine impact of strategic business decisions and transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on business initiatives, communications, and policy.
  • Actively manage local tax matters (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) at branch and foreign operations.
  • Collaborate with service providers and ensure tax compliance is met in all jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
  • Design and implement an internal controls framework over the income tax accounts.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage close working relationships with internal partners, including executive management, financial reporting, accounting, treasury, legal, HR and operations.
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance and risks, advise on employment tax.
  • Assist with information requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Conduct tax planning and detailed research and analysis of emerging tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate to streamline processes, design new workflows when needed, implement new systems, and train new team members.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with tax softwares (e.g., One Source, Avalara, etc.).
  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheet, or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Solid ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Experience leading, developing, and managing a high performing tax team.
  • Experience forging relationships, advising senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify process efficiencies and experience at driving change in a collaborative manner.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Tax.
  • 8+ years of tax related experience.
  • CPA designation preferred

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to sit at a desk while using a computer for long periods of time
