The Role
The Operations Coordinator (Alberta) is responsible for supporting the continued expansion of our food rescue operations across Alberta. This new position within the National Operations department will work collaboratively across our Food Rescue Operations division to facilitate food distribution to non-profits across Alberta. We are looking for a strategic, partnership-minded and resourceful team player who can engage with food businesses and non-profit partners and maintain strong relationships across Alberta to help us meet our annual community impact goals.
Your Impact
- Develop and support a regional strategy for the ongoing expansion of Second Harvest in Alberta, collaborating with the Operations and Food Recovery and Partnerships teams.
- Provide excellent customer service to our non-profit and donor network
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to monitor and facilitate food rescue operations.
- Demonstrate the Second Harvest Food Rescue App (SHFRA) to stakeholders.
- Represent Second Harvest at relevant conferences and trade shows in Alberta
- Cultivate and manage relationships with local stakeholders, including visiting community partners.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in our food recovery operations
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, take initiative and problem solve effectively
- Collaborate on special projects and new initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

- *Must be based in Alberta. Ability to travel across Canada and have a valid Alberta driver’s license (mileage compensated in accordance with Second Harvest policy).
