Picarro seeks an experienced and talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface design across our hardware and software products. You will have the opportunity to build products that enable end users to take critical operational decisions using timely, trusted, actionable data in multiple industries such as chemical plants, energy companies and semiconductor fabs.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will lead by researching, designing, innovating, and prototyping product interfaces. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in India and US – including product managers, engineers, and scientists – to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the usability and functionality of our products. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for various hardware and software products.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment and have worked with the agile development processes.
  • Conducting user research, market analysis, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively
  • ⁠Iterating on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing. ⁠Presenting design proposals to stakeholders and advocating for user-centric design solutions
  • Solve visualization problems including but not limited to design new visualizations, understand how each visualization is best optimized for certain data, understand and optimize our visualization frameworks
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Establishing and maintaining design systems, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency in design.
  • Mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of design excellence within the team.
  • ⁠Managing design projects, timelines, and resources effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in product design

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, design management) or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in the design field
  • Previous experience working in a web/mobile software product company in a relevant position
  • Proficiency in Figma / Sketch or other visual design tools.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • A good understanding of development processes and strong ability to visually simplify complex sets of data/situations.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams through collaboration.
  • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Passionate about innovation and strong presentation, verbal, and written skills in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementation UI Designs.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for design aesthetics, but not at the cost of user experience
  • Knowledge about front-end development frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular)
