Product Manager, Gas Business Unit

Flexible location: on-site in Santa Clara (CA) or full-time remote (US)

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager with a focus on cloud software and data analytics to further establish Picarro as the leader in leak management and emissions abatement solutions serving the Natural Gas industry. 

You will report to the Senior Director of Product Management and play a pivotal role in driving product line strategy and growing Picarro Gas's product portfolio and business. This is a high-impact role that is critical to our client’s success and to our aggressive growth goals.

Working with a world-class team will bring your vision, skills, and confidence to drive our new hardware technology and cloud analytics forward by working with internal groups - R&D, software development, data analytics, sales, field ops, and support. You will work directly with leading natural gas customers to bring new innovative products to market. You will be responsible for all functions driving top-line growth, including owning your product roadmap and life cycle, developing collateral, providing sales training, attending and presenting at conferences and trade shows, and developing meaningful relationships with our customers to collaborate on new product breakthroughs.

As a product leader, you will have demonstrated market knowledge of the natural gas industry, a good understanding of product management processes—Agile, NPI—and direct experience with enterprise solutions combining hardware, a complex software stack, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead the development, commercialization, and strategies for the targeted product and applications.
 Perform market research, capture customer input and emerging trends in key markets, and write the Marketing and Product Requirements Documents for the responsible products.
 Develop and maintain current competitive marketing information.
• Bring the best products to market on time and within budget.
 Support the Gas business team with pre-sales activities.
 Collaborate with customers and other industry stakeholders to identify applications that become reference standards for the entire industry.
• Continually publish updated business plans and roadmaps, refreshing key performance attributes and financial indicators as needed.
 Highlight Picarro solutions at trade shows and conferences; identify and monitor trends in the markets we serve.
 Collaborate with Marcom on transformative print, e-print, and video tools to market products and services successfully.
 Some domestic and international travel to customer sites and conferences is required.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) in a technical field of study
 Degree in software engineering or data analytics a plus.
 Demonstrated knowledge of Natural Gas and Energy markets.
 Familiarity with asset integrity, & asset management software, and ERP software a plus.
 Direct experience managing software and data analytics products.
• At least 3-5 years of Product management, technical sales, or marketing experience in a high-paced, dynamic organization and marketplace with a proven track record of growing the business.
 Ability to comprehend and digest complex technical and application information and distill it into simple, easy-to-understand information for sales, management, and non-expert end users.
 Strong aptitude to articulate and execute business strategy.
 Experience managing product requirements, market analysis, product adoption, and interfacing with software engineering organization.
 Proven ability to understand new technologies, their applications, and their potential impacts on the marketplace.
Results-oriented team player with a "make it happen" attitude and drive for success.
• Superior oral & written communication and interpersonal/relationship skills, particularly intercultural skills; strong customer orientation.

Pay Range: $130k-$160k
