Position Summary
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will own the design, implementation, and release of technical solutions that drive revenue growth for our go-to-market partners. These efforts will focus around Salesforce CPQ and Sales cloud, but we’ll lean on your expertise to optimize across the revenue lifecycle funnel. You will work directly with our business partners, prioritizing projects, defining requirements, and facilitating testing of your solutions. You’ll serve as a Salesforce evangelist who also influences the culture and processes of our growing Business Systems team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document business requirements
- Design scalable and high-performance Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements
- Participate in technical architecture discussions, ensuring features are scalable, adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintainable, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems
- Implement solutions via development within Apex, Lightning Components, and Flow
- Collaborate with stakeholders to perform user acceptance testing and coordinate the deployment and release of new features.
- Leading efforts to enhance and expand Salesforce CPQ and Quoting processes, including price books, quotes, contracts, subscriptions, and more.
- Managing and troubleshooting Salesforce CPQ and Billing processes to ensure system integrity and functionality.
- Staying updated on Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Flow features, implementing enhancements to meet future promotional needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing Salesforce configuration, customization, and integrations
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
- Work independently and be self sufficient, leveraging our team and the business to gather more information when required.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the culture of the Business Systems team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Salesforce certifications, including some combination of Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Salesforce CPQ Specialist, and Platform Developer I or II
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, automation tools, and data governance best practices
- Hands on configuration experience with the Salesforce Platform including security, automation, approval processes, flow, custom objects, etc
- Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements related to quoting, order processing, products, pricing rules, and contract management
- Participation in at least one full implementation of Salesforce/Steelbrick CPQ
- Experience across the SDLC, including Agile methodologies, sandbox-based development, and deployment best practices
- Demonstrated ability to generate technical documentation including high level systems design, low level systems design, system landscape, entity relationship diagrams, configuration workbooks, and other client deliverables for enterprise salesforce implementations
- Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools and best practices
- Experience providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior administrators and cross-functional team members
- Ability to work efficiently in an Agile environment leveraging tools like JIRA, Asana, etc
- Ability to work US Eastern Time Zone hours
