The Role:

This role is on a product focused team responsible for building a simple, easy to use “no code” visualization application powered by Druid that makes it easy for customers to visualize and gather insights from their data. As a member of this team you will develop and maintain our full stack analytics application that is used by thousands of end users and processes terabytes of data all while rendering visualizations within seconds. Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers through rigorous reviews of  architecture designs and code changes
  • Partner with both product and cross-functional teams to build, scale, and implement elegant application infrastructure solutions that scale and are built with enterprise-class operational excellence
  • Drive operational excellence to ensure the team is able to respond quickly and efficiently if any incident were to occur

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience providing technical leadership and mentorship for software engineering teams
  • 5+ years of experience building and shipping production quality applications using Node.js
  • Experience with front-end systems such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.js (we use React)
  • Strong communication skills: ability to explain complex technical concepts to designers, support staff, and other engineers
  • Solid grasp on good software engineering practices such as code reviews and deep focus on testability and quality

Bonus Points: 

  • Experience with containerized application deployment using Kubernetes in CI/CD
  • Experience building data applications that have processed large amounts of data 
  • Familiarity with Druid or another large scale OLAP database
  • Have a cool data app to demo that you’ve built

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply’s internal levelings guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

Compensation: $165,000 - $220,000
