Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a national account manager

 

Job Responsibilities:

The National Account Manager will lead the selling, communication, and strategic development of the account, will also lead overall account strategy and the annual planning for these customers. This role requires strong influencing skills, and superior selling/communication skills across the customer, distributor, company, and consumer landscapes to scale the conventional/natural channels for the brand, including the following:

  • Achieve and deliver annual plans for the customer base that reflect the agreed-upon brand/customer
  • strategies and supply delivery of business goals.
  • Acquire new business targets with the assigned region that do not currently sell the company brand.
  • Translate business strategy into clear and locally executable plans and focus resources accordingly within their respective customers.
  • Customer setup to include all necessary documents requested by the retailer or distributor.
  • Effectively manage the entire process from customer meetings to product landing on the shelf.
  • Collaborate with broker management and account managers.
  • Establish and manage key customer relationships through joint business planning that strengthens and builds on the success of the brand.
  • Understand the dynamics of each respective customer and provide insight and direction to develop solutions that promote and build the brand.
  • Responsible for executing programs through broker management and strong customer relationships.
  • Schedule, conduct, and participate in customer meetings to educate, inform, and build capabilities for selling the brand.
  • Responsible for building sales presentations and reports to share both internally and with customers that will provide an action-oriented response.
  • Support the execution and management of forecasting, budgets, sales expenses, T&E, and reporting.
  • Access and manage any customer analytical systems to gauge performance.
  • Work with the cross-functional team to establish and implement successful customer programs to profitably increase product availability and points of distribution.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven work experience as a national account manager
  • Solid experience in sales and customer service
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients’ requirements
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members

  • Availability to travel as needed (30-50%)
  • Available to work flexible schedules
  • Pay Range: $100,000 to $125,000, bonus eligible
