Your Impact

As a key Senior Backend Engineer on our Feature team, you will be at the forefront of system design and architectural decisions, driving the evolution of critical features for our Enterprise customers and their internal administrators. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our backend services, leading design discussions, conducting in-depth code reviews, and ensuring technical excellence across the team. Collaborating closely with both Product and Engineering, you’ll influence feature development from conception to implementation, transforming our platform with scalable, robust, and forward-thinking solutions. Your leadership in backend development will enable seamless expansion of our product suite while elevating engineering best practices across the team.

What You'll Do

Deliver Software: Owning all aspects of delivery, including writing code, conducting rigorous code reviews and leading technical discussions, ensuring the delivery of high-caliber solutions.
Architect Systems: Collaborate with staff/principal engineers and drive the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-performance distributed systems, ensuring they meet evolving business demands.
Mentor Engineers: Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, instilling a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are

Experienced: 9 years in backend engineering with a focus on Enterprise SaaS products built on big data platforms.
Technically Proficient: Strong expertise in relational and non-relational data stores like PostgresSQL and Redis, JVM-based tech stacks, including Kotlin and gRPC.
Systems Designer: Skilled in designing and maintaining a high-availability, high-performance, domain-oriented fleet of GraphQL services
Delivery-Oriented: Consistently deliver tested, maintainable code for complex challenges.
Tech-Agnostic: Versatile across multiple software stacks, with flexible preferences.
Cloud-Oriented: Experienced in cloud-based data platform solutions preferably AWS.
Collaborative: Love collaborating via code reviews and architecture discussions and is motivated to improve their teammates’ productivity.

In addition, we limit access to personal data to those employees, agents, contractors, and other third parties that have a legitimate business need for such access.

Data Retention

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, as required to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or as necessary to resolve disputes. Generally this period of time is the time necessary to evaluate your application for employment and for an additional 6 months thereafter, subject to our statutory obligations, the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes we process your personal data for, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.

Under some circumstances we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and de-identified data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent.

If you are offered and accept employment with us, the personal data we collected during the application and recruitment process will become part of your employment record, and we may use it in connection with your employment consistent with our employee personal data policies.
