About the role

Reporting to the Director of Analytics, as a Data Analyst at CitySwift, you will be a key member of the Analytics Team, working closely with data, application and product managers. You will be integral in completing in-depth technical analysis and presenting results both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

  • Explore massive amounts of data including geographical data and perform large-scale analysis to extract useful insights
  • Create and maintain reporting dashboards that track key metrics
  • Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business and our customers by effectively communicating results to cross functional groups
  • Expand our data warehouse with clean data ready for analysis
  • Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team

Key skills

Essential

  • Fluent in Cantonese.
  • 3 years experience in a Data Analyst role ideally within a fast paced, B2B environment.
  • Hold a BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineer, Operations Research, or related technical field from an academic institution.
  • Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (or equivalent).
  • Highly proficient in SQL.
  • Comfortable working with GIT and Python.
  • Proven ability to extract insights from data.
  • Effective communicator who can clearly explain complex topics to a wide variety of audiences. 
  • Experience working with Data warehouses especially cloud based platforms such as GCP.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of data modelling. 
  • Looker and LookML experience.
