We are seeking an organized, collaborative and conceptual thinker who is adept at making strategic decisions while balancing company policies and business needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly focused, and can efficiently and succinctly coordinate and negotiate  a high volume of customer and vendor contracts with counterparties within the U.S. and abroad. You’ll work closely with high-performing sales, marketing, and product teams, among other departments across the organization to review, analyze, and negotiate contracts that account for various stakeholders

 

Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate customer subscription agreements, order forms, NDAs, and other types of agreements under the guidance of applicable playbooks and outside counsel support.
  • Support sales teams in the completion of RFPs and customer questionnaires.
  • Partner with outside counsel to provide practical and decisive guidance to internal business teams. 
  • Coach sales and customer success team members on strategies for negotiating with customers.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the company to support Cayuse’s acceleration of revenue generation and reduction of risk by being a trusted advisor, translating business needs to contractual commitments and legal advice.
  • Build and manage contract playbooks and workflows using existing CRM tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline contract operations.
  • Support strategic legal initiatives, including special projects, training, and risk reporting.
  • ​​Contribute to an inclusive work environment by valuing diverse perspectives, communicating positively, and appropriately involving others in the work.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment by valuing employee differences and contributions, providing opportunities for employees to be heard, and ensuring decisions that affect the team are transparent and equitable.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education. Paralegal certification a bonus
  • 7-10 years of contract management experience with a focus on SaaS commercial contracts and corporate matters, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of contract law and corporate governance, with particular emphasis on Healthcare and Higher Education institutions
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Excited to drive contracts to closure and are comfortable partnering with clients in sales, where you will prioritize multiple deals simultaneously while supporting tight deadlines.
