The Elizabeth Warren campaign is looking for an IT Manager to manage all day-to-day operations of the technology used nationwide both in the field and at HQ in Boston, MA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day technology operations for all offices and employees, including end user support
  • Monitor data security, both at the cloud (SaaS) level as well as internal network + system monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Enforce data security policies among employees to ensure 100% compliance
  • Manage patch management systems and processes which ensure all campaign devices and software are running with latest security updates
  • Design access control systems that provide employees access to systems on an as-needed basis, and revoke access when no longer required
  • Perform new hire and ongoing staff training regarding data security practices
  • Maintain our scalable, secure technology solutions for field office IT
  • Manage inventory, including device procurement + configuration, new system configuration + rollout, and ongoing device inventory audits
  • Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and key consultants, including vetting of proper security controls in place for key vendors
  • Coordinate with local state Ops directors to ensure smooth onboarding of employees
  • Maintain a proactive monitoring strategy, auditing network and device usage to analyze trends and proactively address issues
  • Support the needs of specialized teams, working closely with Operations, Data, Tech, and Mobilization departments
  • Work with leadership to build out new offices and relocate existing offices as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in IT, with 2 of those years overseeing a team of IT professionals
  • Customer service oriented with an approachable demeanor; passionate about providing exceptional service to all employees while resolving IT issues
  • Ability to break down technology concepts to less technical users in simple language
  • Experience with IT budgets, inventory management, and device procurement
  • Proven track record of successful office relocations and new office build outs
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including nights and weekends as needed, in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years experience configuring and managing SaaS platforms, such as G Suite, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Box
  • Ability to manage a successful, user friendly help desk to assist with hardware and software requests
  • Experience with network administration across multiple office sites, as well as implementing network / server / endpoint monitoring; experience with Meraki firewalls and access points preferred
  • Experience with managing operational security: enforcing 2 factor authentication, developing technology security policy + frameworks, keeping current with latest cyber threats + remediations
  • Experience working or volunteering in a political campaign a plus
  • This role will not be responsible for overseeing NGP/VAN administration

This position will be based in the campaign HQ in Boston, though travel should be expected as needed
