Job Description:

Elite is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Account Management to join our team and drive the success of our sales organization. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. Your focus will be on nurturing existing client relationships, driving subscription renewals, identifying upsell opportunities, and leading a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Retention and Expansion Strategies: 
    • Develop and execute proactive customer retention and expansion strategies. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and success. 
    • Identify key customer experience indicators and trends. 
  • Subscription Renewals: 
    • Create a renewal calendar for SaaS subscriptions. 
    • Work closely with account managers to secure timely renewals. 
    • Analyze renewal metrics and implement action plans. 
  • Upsell Opportunities: 
    • Identify upsell opportunities within existing accounts. 
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive upsell initiatives. 
    • Educate peers and the team on successful strategies. 
  • Team Leadership: 
    • Lead and mentor a team of 5 account managers. 
    • Prioritize customer success and growth within the team. 
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, business information systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • At least 8 years of experience in account management, with 3-5 years in account management leadership role within a technology or SaaS company. 
  • Has established a repeatable retention program that can be executed quickly. 
  • Proven ability to work strategically with the team to build relationships and bring value to customers. 
  • Strategic thinker that can develop and execute strategic account plans. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing account expansion strategies to drive revenue growth within existing customer accounts. 
  • Track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring direct reports. 
  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team. 
  • Problem solver, with strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. 
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS sales processes, methodologies, forecasting, and best practices. 
  • Proven ability to master software business value and articulate this value with finance and technical leaders. 
  • Works well across the company to ensure product, technology and leadership to articulate strategy, gain support and add value to the business and for our customers.
