Who we are
Element AI is on mission to turn the world’s most important AI Research into transformative business applications, lead by world-class entrepreneurs, researchers, developers and fellows. The explainability team at Element AI is aiming at building tools to help developers and users of AI models understand how and why the algorithms make the decisions they do.
What you will do
As a visualization developer in the explainability team, you will own building of interactive visual interfaces that allow users to “open up the black box” and interact with the explanations that we create.
You will work in close collaboration with a team of Applied Research Scientists who are building quantitative tools to probe and analyze algorithms to explain their behaviour. Due to the cross-cutting nature of this team, you will have the opportunity to interact with different teams across the company.
You will work autonomously to build intuitive and interactive interfaces to explain the decisions made by an AI model and visualize its thinking process, as well as providing feedback to the researchers on how the explanations might be improved.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone passionate about AI & providing explanation to people with a deep understanding of best practices in software engineering and intuitive interface design.
Last but not least, we do most of our backend development in Python so you will be expected to be familiar with it. Moreover, we widely use containerization technologies such as Docker and versioning control tools such as Git. Prior experience with both of these will be a plus.
