Electriphi was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Palo Alto California. The company provides software solutions with the singular focus of enabling the transition to zero emission vehicles across heavy, medium and light duty fleets in public as well as private segments.

Electriphi was acquired June of 2021 by Ford Motor Company. Electriphi now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary responsible for defining the Go To Market for Ford Pro as it relates to charging. The newly formed Ford Pro Charging is a business unit within Ford Pro responsible for delivering End-to-End solutions for our commercial customers. This includes software, hardware, and the necessary services to design, build and operate commercial charging for Ford and Non-Ford customers alike.

Position Summary

 

As a Grant Accountant, you will report to the CFO and assist with our grant management services and work closely with the California Energy Commissions and internal business partners. You must demonstrate strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and communication skills to ensure all grant compliance are completed in a timely and high-quality manner. You will be a key partner in building the grant financial infrastructure to support and drive decision-making and facilitate process improvements to drive organizational efficiency.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Must maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures and must maintain substantial working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Essential Job Duties

  • Perform grant-related post award functions for California Energy Commissions and outside agency and institutional grants, including expense analysis, periodic invoicing, financial reporting, accounting, labor distribution changes, assistance as needed in developing grant budgets, and associated communications with principal investigators, project directors, or customers.
  • Perform grant closeout functions required and institutional grant contract administration and sponsors including reconciliations, financial status reports, final invoices, final accounting reporting; review general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and complete journal entries as required.
  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to partners regarding sponsored programs policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of all grant regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Assist with grant proposal budget analysis and schedules as needed.
  • Access needs and resolves issues of the principal investigator or project directors related to grant accounting; perform analysis and support for projects.
  • Facilitate, prepare, and submit required interim and final financial reports.
  • Provide backup as needed to assist CFO/Controller or other accounting staff in other projects and duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a finance-related role
  • Microsoft Excel user and confident PowerPoint user
  • Skillful communicator able to develop efficient narrative supported by relevant numbers

Education and / or Experience

  • BA/BS degree in finance, math, statistics, business, related, or equivalent
  • Self-starter comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision

Other

  • Strong intent for professional development and demonstrated path toward financial certifications

Position is remote in nature however living in California is a plus.
