At eko, we make great tech telling great stories. We are a SaaS startup company and we’re building a platform that creates and publishes interactive, choice-driven video experiences. Our product lets users publish these experiences on brand websites, online retail stores, and any other consumer-facing medium. We’ve worked with Walmart, P&G, Unilever, Mattel, Coca-Cola, LEGO, and more. We launched our MVP platform in March 2022, and now we are looking to grow our team!
We are looking for a UX Specialist for our consumer products (eCommerce-focused interactive video experiences) who can identify and empathize with online shoppers' and merchants' needs, transform unique insights into innovative product possibilities, and bring creative excellence to multiple projects. Your focus will be on moving our template library forward by understanding how marketers use and interact with them and designing the best experience for users.
Hybrid Workplace - We’re located in NYC and Tel Aviv. This role would be based in NYC where we’re mostly working from home but we try to meet at least once a week in person.
WHAT YOU’LL DO…
- Take ownership of our consumer product UX, design the interactions and interfaces, conceptualize and design user journeys and end-to-end experiences.
- Focus on designing premium interactive shoppable templates for users to embed in their eCommerce sites.
- Build UX flows of interactive video shopping experiences, create wireframes, and fleshed-out designs to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas accounting for holistic online and in-store customer journeys.
- Create usable prototypes that can be rapidly tested and iterated upon.
- Partner with Product Managers to collaborate on opportunities and support products that ship with alignment to user needs and business objectives.
- Identify where customers struggle and discover ways to improve their experience with research and user testing.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape, existing customer journeys, and user need states to represent the user through all aspects of product development and optimization as part of a team creating cutting-edge products.
- Undertake strategic thinking for long-term impact while understanding and taking into account business and technical constraints, ensuring desirable/valuable experiences for users and helping shape the templates to help brands and marketers to easily create more of these experiences with the end-user in mind.
- Be a UX advocate and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Our Dream Candidate has…
- 4+ years experience working in product/UX design with a proven track record of great designs and strategies that meet user needs, product requirements, and business objectives, ideally in eCommerce, content, gaming and/or technology spaces.
- Design background with an obsessive eye for interaction and visual details.
- Deep passion for advocating and focusing on user needs, and championing user-centered design.
- A rich understanding of user-centered design principles and practices, user research, interaction design, typography and color, UI design, and web usability standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey conceptual ideas, design rationale, strategy, and the specifics of the user-centered design process.
- A collaborative team player happy to share ideas, take constructive feedback, and advocate for user-centered design practices.
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
- A history of leading design for and launching complex yet intuitive products.
We believe in hiring people, not just skills. If you don't meet 100% of the qualifications we mentioned, that's ok! We encourage you to apply if you think this role will make you excited to come to work every day.
