At eko, we make great tech telling great stories. We are a SaaS startup company and we’re building a platform that creates and publishes interactive, choice-driven video experiences. Our product lets users publish these experiences on brand websites, online retail stores, and any other consumer-facing medium. We’ve worked with Walmart, P&G, Unilever, Mattel, Coca-Cola, LEGO, and more. We launched our MVP platform in March 2022, and now we are looking to grow our team!
We are looking for a Senior UX Specialist for our SaaS platform who can identify and empathize with shoppers' and merchants' needs, transform unique insights into innovative product possibilities, and bring creative excellence to multiple projects. Your focus will be on moving our platform forward through your understanding of digital ecosystems, creation tools, SaaS platforms and how people interact with them, and design for the user’s experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO…
- Take ownership of our platform’s product UX, design interactions and interfaces, and conceptualize user journeys and end-to-end experiences.
- Design intuitive tools to help users build interactive shoppable experiences for their eCommerce sites.
- Create usable prototypes that can be rapidly tested and iterated upon.
- Partner with Product Managers to collaborate on opportunities and support products that ship with alignment to user needs and business objectives.
- Work closely with UI designers to bring your vision to reality.
- Identify where customers struggle and discover ways to improve their experience.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape, existing customer journeys, and user need states to represent the user through all aspects of product development and optimization as part of a team creating cutting-edge products.
- Undertake strategic thinking for long-term impact while understanding and taking into account business and technical constraints, ensuring valuable experiences for users and helping shape the tools for brands to easily create more of these experiences with the end-user in mind.
- Be a UX advocate and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Our Dream Candidate has…
- 5+ years experience working in product/UX design with a proven track record of great products and strategy that meet user needs, product requirements, and business objectives, ideally in eCommerce, content, and/or technology spaces.
- Rich understanding of user centered design principles and practices, user research, interaction design, typography and color, UI design, and web usability standards.
- Skilled at building UX flows, creating wireframes and high quality designs, usable prototypes, designing interactions and interfaces, conceptualize and design user journeys and end to end experiences, making the complex easy.
- Experience with and working for a SaaS platform, B2B experiences and/or creation tools (creator tools experience strongly preferred).
- The ability to communicate design rationale, conceptual ideas, strategy, and the specifics of user-centered design process.
- A design background can be an advantage but definitely not a must.
- Advocate of user-centered design practices.
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
- A history of leading design for and launching complex, yet intuitive products.
We believe in hiring people, not just skills. If you don't meet 100% of the qualifications we mentioned, that's ok! We encourage you to apply if you think this role will make you excited to come to work every day.
