Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate 2 to support our biotech operations by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials and supplies. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of resources within our high-growth company.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position has experience in material handling, warehousing, or a related field, preferably in a fast-paced or regulated environment. With the ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks safely and precisely, the candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation. Their familiarity with inventory management systems or software, coupled with excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety guidelines, positions them as a valuable team player dedicated to maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment.

What You’ll Do 

  • Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming materials and supplies.
  • Safely transport materials within the facility using equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of materials in designated areas.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
  • Prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping instructions.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to schedule deliveries and pickups.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving records, including packing lists and delivery receipts.
  • Complying with materials management policies and processes, including 5-S, Safety, Quality, and Good Warehousing/Housekeeping processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements related to material handling.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any issues for timely repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage spaces and equipment.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including material transfer forms and inventory records.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or irregularities in materials or inventory.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to provide input for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 Years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree and additional training or certification in material handling are a plus.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or hand trucks, with safety and precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or software is a plus.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers and internal customers, both verbally and written
  • Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Ability to lift material up to 70 lbs.
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.
  • Experience with computer systems (MS Office, SAP, WMS) preferred.

The expected hourly rate for this role is $29.33/HR to $31.97/HR depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
