Position Summary

The Partner Sales Manager at Effectual reports to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO). The objective for the PSM is to guide opportunities into the sales pipeline and implement our partner strategy with our key partner Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your focus is to build and nurture relationships with our partners, ensuring they understand the unique value that Effectual brings to the table. By collaborating with both partners and our teams, you will develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies that maximizes revenue generation for Effectual.

Daily Routine of a Partner Sales Manager

The Partner Sales Manager is dedicated to embodying the joint value that Effectual and AWS bring to the enterprise. Your days will be spent engaging with both internal Effectual team members and the AWS partner and sales teams to address the challenges that enterprises are facing and to showcase the success stories where AWS and Effectual have delivered tangible outcomes for customers.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating discussions between internal Effectual teams and AWS partners and sales teams to understand customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Success Story Sharing: Sharing success stories and case studies that highlight the real-world impact of AWS and Effectual solutions on customers and the broader market.
  • Training and Enablement: Providing training and enablement sessions for AWS counterparts on Effectual' s services and capabilities, ensuring they understand how our offerings can address customer needs.
  • Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from AWS partners and sales teams on customer requirements and preferences and providing insights to internal Effectual partners on how to better align with these needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Documenting all activities and achievements in Effectual' s CRM system, and providing data and reporting on successful initiatives, areas for improvement, and opportunities for investment or strategy adjustment.

Responsibilities

Through collaboration, strategic thinking, and a focus on driving results, the PSM's goal is to maximize the potential of our partnership with AWS fueling the success of Effectual.

  • Relationship Building: Establish relationships with partners like AWS, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Sales Education: Educate partners on the value proposition of Effectual, highlighting how our solutions align with their goals.
  • Strategy Development: Work with partners and our teams to develop comprehensive GTM strategies that use the strengths of both parties and increase revenue.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and refine our approach.
  • Performance Tracking: Implement KPIs to measure the success of our partnership initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

You will focus is on driving activities that result in opportunities for the Sales team to pursue and close, leading to revenue generation for Effectual. By fostering relationships, sharing compelling success stories, providing valuable training and enablement, and maintaining a diligent feedback loop, with the goal of maximizing the impact of the Effectual-AWS partnership and increase growth for both organizations while solving customers challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in partner or business development.
  • 3 years of experience working with AWS
  • Federal Civilian Public Sector and Aerospace & Satellite experience and relationships preferred

Location: Jersey City, NJ, remote or hybrid

Salary Range for this position: $110,000-$150,000 plus potential to earn more.

Travel Requirements

The travel requirements for this position may vary depending on our needs. You are prepared to travel domestically. The ability to travel is essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of this role and supporting our organization's goals.
