WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Hands-on manager leading a full-stack engineering team responsible for EDO's user applications. The team size is currently four engineers with plans to further grow the team this year.
- Partner with product to define and design the team's roadmap, features, and impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across other technical teams at the organization (Data Science, Data Engineering, Infra/DevOps) on system-wide technical and architectural design.
- Develop and grow your team to deliver a high level of technical quality and business impact while fostering individual career development through a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Understand how the futures of media, entertainment, and advertising are being defined by the innovative applications of technology and data, specifically in the Convergent TV space.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 6+ years of experience in web/full-stack development, with a strong focus on reporting and dashboard-related technologies (e.g. Data Visualization libraries, Snowflake, libraries for Excel).
- 2+ years of directly managing a full-stack engineering team.
- A proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop, and execute.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and you have established the architecture and best practices for web applications.
- Experience and passion for working in an agile startup environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, versatility, i.e., the ability and willingness to wear multiple hats and switch gears frequently.
- We believe that strong engineers can learn any stack, but we currently use the following, and direct experience with these technologies is a plus.
- Front-end: React, Typescript, CSS
- Backend: Ruby on Rails
- Database: MySQL, Snowflake
- Infrastructure: AWS

In compliance with New York and California Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $150-200k.
