The Role

Data Scientists at EDO drive EDO's modeling and analytical methodology to measure the effect that television and streaming ads have on consumer behaviors, primarily consumers' online search and website visits.

What You Will Do

  • Hands-on manager of 1-3 direct reports.
  • Test out new methods for modeling ad effectiveness on trillion-event data sets spanning millions of households for several years.
  • Execution of custom client requests and proof-of-concept development.
  • Build and tune models, and automate diagnostics of the models.
  • Work on a small team and take ownership of high impact projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) executing modeling projects, preferably projects that included biased data, weighting, or troublesome upstream data sources, and including some long-lived projects or codebases.
  • 2+ years writing clean, reusable code in Python.
  • Experience consulting for, educating, supporting, or training other less-technical teams in a company.
  • Visualization skills and familiarity with interactive dashboard development.
  • Experience with git and exposure to unit testing concepts.
  • Proficiency with analytic queries in SQL (we primarily use Snowflake), with experience interfacing directly with databases from Python (we leverage SQLAlchemy Core heavily).

In compliance with New York and California Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $130,000-180,000. We note the salary information as a general guideline only, as actual compensation may vary from posting. We will consider various factors to determine the offer for this role, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, key skills, training, and business considerations.
