EDGE Engineering and Science is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The main responsibility of a Billing Specialist is to accurately prepare and submit client invoices in accordance with contractual terms and to meet corporate billing deadlines. Additionally, the Billing Specialist is responsible for accounting and project set-up in the Unanet A/E system and verify the data is in compliance with client(s) teams and agreements. The Billing Specialist is the first line of communication with Project Managers. This job can be performed in either the Edge Houston, Cincinnati, or Pittsburgh offices or remotely.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that all invoices are processed and mailed accurately and in accordance with the contract terms and deadlines set forth by management and clients.
- Have a strong understanding of the client billing requirements.
- Issuing draft invoices for project manager review and final invoices to clients.
- Reconciling billing discrepancies.
- Work closely with Project Managers to prepare and send client invoices. This includes any special invoice documentation or backup as required within the contract.
- Assist Project Management teams with project costing as needed.
- Delivers courteous, prompt, respectful, and value-added customer service to internal and external clients.
- Monitor and manage invoices daily, including working closely with the Controller as needed.
- Interface with Accounts Payable department, and our corporate Accounting department.
- Work in Adobe PDF.
- Work well under pressure, must be able to adhere to strict Finance/Client deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of business experience in Finance with a focus on billing preferred.
- Experience with Unanet preferred
