Sales Executive - Maritime 

Office based

Role can be based in either our Dubai or London offices

As part of our overall growth strategy and following the formation of a new and exciting business unit that will focus exclusively on serving the maritime industry, we are now looking for a maritime sales professional to join our existing team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new maritime clients and expand the existing client base.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with maritime clients and the overall shipping ecosystem (owners, managers, brokers, charterers, etc), to understand their challenges, objectives, risk appetite and international payment requirements.
  • Research, identify and prospect different maritime clients that have the need for international payments, FX and Trade Finance.
  • Establish rapport and build credibility with clients through networking opportunities and effectively presenting solutions that encompass the client’s entire international payment needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as onboarding, client services and operations to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services to clients
  • Leverage the global footprint of Ebury to service our clients in a truly global way
You
  • Candidate must have a proven track record of sales within the maritime industry
  • Experienced in selling to global ship owners, ship managers, brokers, charterers, etc, ideally with a focus in the Middle East. 
  • Applications from Navy veterans or former seafarers are particularly welcome 
  • Applications are also particularly welcome from ICS members or those studying for their professional qualifications with the Institute 
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, numerical & verbal reasoning skills.
  • Are a skilled negotiator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining relationships with maritime clients and a good understanding of the maritime industry.
  • Based in London or Dubai
