Position Summary: 

As an Office & People Specialist at EarnIn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing our company culture while ensuring that our people practices align with our mission and values serving as the local point of contact for the People Partner team in our growing Bangalore location. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about people, has a strong understanding of HR best practices, loves creating a culture where people know they belong, and thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

This position will be based in Bangalore, India. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. 

What You'll Do: 

This role will function half as Office Manager and half as People Practices. The need is acute due to rapidly growing headcount in the India site, the need to improve productivity, and collaborate effectively across geographies (TMOM theme).

People Practices Responsibilities:

  • Provide Day1 Local Onboarding for India employees
    • Overview of local office, access card
    • Set up schedule for onboarding
    • Coordinate Visitor Visa Process for broader EarnIn activities
    • Assist with local benefits set up, and other duties as needed
  • Deeper understanding of local customs, programs, and policies across APAC
    • Provide answers to employees on EarnIn programs and procedures for BLR and BKK
    • Local support for global EarnIn People programs
    • Coordinate with broader People Partner teams
    • Provide support to local TA efforts as needed - on site candidate and hiring manager assistance
    • Amplify local culture as well as broader EarnIn culture and values 
  • Provide a local confidential voice for employees in APAC as rest of People Practices team is currently based in the US
  • Handle employee relations issues
  • Help maintain a high bar and drive performance management
  • Ensure all employees have needed tools and training to ramp up effectively
  • Coordinate with L&D efforts and training needs
  • Assist w/ incorporation (when and as needed)

Office Manager Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage office site and coordinate with vendor (Hanto) for provisioning, maintenance and procurement of items needed for the site
    • Track site expenses and procurement with vendor
  • Coordinate with the other EAs and leads across sites as well as FP&A and administrative team in Palo Alto for budgeting, best practices
    • Raise monthly expenses for lunch, supplies, equipment 
  • Vendor Management
    • For office site (managed office)
    • Procurement of supplies / swag, manage lunch vendor
  • New Hires
    • Onboard new employees
    • First day onboarding, access cards
    • Set up welcome activities
  • POC for existing employees in BLR
    • International integration for various workstreams that include: people programs, benefits, people compliance, and rhythm of business
    • Commute, site location needs
    • IT, reimbursement related queries 
    • Leave and time off questions 
    • Coordinate employee records changes with US team
  • Facilitate employee team building activities 
    • Planning activities, lunch / offsites
    • Track headcounts, coordinate bookings, budget 
  • Work closely with the India site lead for smooth operations of the site
  • Maintain the #whatsup-blr and #bangalore-ops slack channels 
  • Plan and host internal as well as external events 
    • India All Hands
    • WIT events
    • Local recruitment events
  • Help the visitors from other sites
    • Travel, stay, and help plan their schedules / meetings

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’ve done this before. You have at least 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Manager, People Program Manager or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills. High proficiency in Google Applications, including Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and GMail. Proficiency in at least one HRIS system. Experience in HiBob is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance, including knowledge of APAC HR laws and regulations (India and Thailand)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, high EQ and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships and deliver feedback effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
