Overview 

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Dyno team where you’ll work with a modern tech stack to solve complex technical challenges as we continue to grow and scale our products, serving over 18 million Discords communities.

In this critical role, you will have the opportunity to impact our products, services, and engineering culture significantly. This position requires local hires to be onsite Monday - Thursday out of our Playa Vista office.

What You'll Do

  • Develop new features, design and implement APIs, new microservices, and integrations with other services, both internal and external
  • Leverage AI and ML technologies such as LLMs to develop solutions that address complex challenges in various domains
  • Maintain and extend fault-tolerant and secure distributed systems used by millions of users on a daily basis
  • Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to keep our stack modern and scalable
  • Lead by example in an agile environment, adapting swiftly to feedback and evolving business needs

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with a proven track record in full-stack development
  • Strong proficiency in Typescript, React, and Node.js on backend and frontend
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of designing, building, scaling and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful API's
  • Knowledge of building high-volume customer-facing applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, using CI/CD pipelines to frequently ship new features
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience developing services with Nest.js
  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Prior experience or interest in modern AI/ML technologies and LLMs, with an interest in applying these to solve complex problems and enhance user experiences.
  • Knowledge of machine learning (ML) algorithms and frameworks (e.g TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain), implementing, training, and optimizing models for real-world applications.
