THE JOB / Account Manager, LAC Sponsorship Marketing (Payment Services & Technology Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates in Miami. We are open to hybrid work (3 days week in office) in one of our office locations – Stamford, CT; New York, NY; Miami, FL; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.”

Our client is an award-winning global Payment Technology brand known for their iconic brand marketing position and initiatives. Their sponsorship programming covers various properties, ambassadors, and segments, showcasing their diversity and market strength.

The Account Manager will contribute to the strategic evolution and growth of the client’s sponsorship portfolio to support key initiatives across LAC sponsored properties and ambassadors in the payment services category! This position requires providing day to day support to our LAC team’s delivery of intuitive client service, concept and presentation development, strategic planning and development, project management, agency integration, and execution of sponsorship programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has experience activating major sponsorship programs in Latin America, coupled with a customer-centric mindset possessing the social savvy required to work across multiple marketing disciplines. This position is best suited for someone who is passionate about working in a team environment with a diverse group of people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Build and cultivate positive client and agency relationships
  • Become an authority on our clients’ business and the Financial Services category
  • Support sponsorship activation planning and execution of clients’ sponsorship properties and ambassadors in football, music, entertainment and culinary
  • Lead sponsorship integration with clients Latin America stakeholders and customers
  • Manage creative approvals process between with client’s stakeholders, customers and sponsorship property and ambassador partners
  • Support development of sponsorship portfolio strategy, strategic executive presentations, tracking & reporting tools, and project management of client assignments
  • Assess and provide ongoing guidance to client on sponsorship portfolio construction and utilization
  • Assist with the development and execution of integrated sponsorship initiatives and campaigns using client’s sponsorship portfolio and assets
  • Lead the creation of key presentations and documents to including property summaries, industry trends, RFP’s, competitive reports, and social media optimization reports
  • Evaluate and provide POV’s on sponsorship and ambassador proposals and opportunities
  • Assist with clients’ compliance processes, sponsorship governance and administrative procedures
  • Keep up on cultural moments across sport around the globe
  • Supervise staff and/or interns in the implementation of programs, projects and events

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Have a passion for sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) is required; fluent in Portuguese (written and verbal) is a strong plus
  • Strong preference for location is Miami, FL
  • 4-5+ years’ experience working with Hispanic focused sports & entertainment properties, leagues, teams/clubs, ambassadors and/or influencers
  • Previous demonstrable experience working with multiple Latin America markets
  • Payment Services of Financial Services industry experience/knowledge a plus
  • A strong understanding of the sports sponsorship space required
  • Strong event management skills and proven ability to use & implement project management processes and tools
  • Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offering
  • Experience in creating integrated marketing programming in a client-facing role
  • Previous work experience across a combination of strategic, logistical and tactical projects
  • Outstanding work ethic, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn – intellectually curious
  • Strong self-starter with excellent team dynamics; exceptional sense to be proactive and jump in wherever needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent digital literacy, master of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel is up to 30%.

L3: The base range for this position is $60,000 – 65,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background pertinent experience, and qualifications
