Director, Strategic Planning

Golin Dallas is seeking a culture driven strategic planner who is passionate about using data and trends to create compelling creative strategy for some of the biggest brands in culture today such as a multi-national software company and a top-tier global consumer brand. The ideal candidate is big idea thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.  

He/she/they must have a passion for conducting strategic research, solving problems, discovering cultural shifts and macro trends, monitoring trends, inspiring creativity, anticipating questions and creating actionable plans. 

As a strategic planner you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a community of +225 trendspotters, planners, strategists, analysts, and creatives across the global network.

This position will report directly to the Head of Planning in the Dallas office and partner across all g4 communities including creative, media and account management. 

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of strategic planning experience
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to distill a wealth of information into simple and compelling plans/presentations/stories
  • Conduct research including social media analysis, competitive audits, and trends mining
  • Examine all projects through an inclusive lens to reflect a profoundly diverse marketplace
  • Understand the key trends that drive consumer behavior and affect the way that brands
  • Communicate - always living at the intersection of brands, culture, and creativity
  • Develop emotive creative briefs to inspire audience-led, idea-centric strategies that creatives teams can use to develop compelling creative work
  • Create insights that are actionable, goal-oriented and provides a unique perspective
  • Maintain a clear understanding of client deliverables and their business/communication objectives
  • Produce work that is client-ready
  • Have a strong sense of personal responsibility and initiative - must be able to work autonomously or in collaboration with other teams, especially our creative teams
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent presenter and facilitator, adept at leading meetings with clients and colleagues

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.

Salary range: $94,000- $165,000
