POSITION PROFILE


Current Global is looking for a Director, Influencer Marketing to join the Integrated Media community and help champion the Influencer Marketing practice at the agency. The ideal candidate will have a passion and knowledge of influencer partnerships across all tiers of talent – with a proven track record of prospecting, negotiating and closing deals to support and fulfill the strategic objective of Current Global’s clients.

 

A self-starter with an integrated marketing mindset, this person will be an expert in branded content, social platforms, digital media and the talent management space. This person will be responsible for managing and developing relationships across the social influencer landscape and will assist in the development of influencer marketing campaigns across a portfolio of clients in various verticals.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and target audiences, and working in close collaboration with our Creative, Social, Insights and Client Experience teams, lead the creation and execution of integrated multi-platform campaigns that drive meaningful results. 
  • Working alongside the integrated media practice lead, serve as the influencer marketing lead for the agency and day-to-day client contact for programs.
  • Be a driver of culture for our clients with a deep passion and understanding of what’s trending, who’s influencing culture and driving conversations.
  • Build and grow relationships with change agents and cultural makers (celebrities, influencers, artists, thought leaders) directly or via their agents.
  • Influence creative ideations: from the ideas presented, to the influencers selected, to the content created all the way down to the language used in post copy.  
  • Be a thought leader on measurement and reporting, determining and customizing KPIs distinct for client goals and objectives.
  • Play a lead role in the agency’s influencer center of excellence, which develops and manages key relationships with talent agencies and content creators and institutionalizes a set of best-in-class tools and processes for identification, contract negotiation, content planning, measurement and ROI analysis. 
  • Lead a high-performing team with at least 1 direct report, mentor and develop junior team members. 
  • Educate teams and provide expert counsel to clients on best practices, industry news and the changing influencer marketing landscape.
  • Manage compliance and risk on by partnering with legal and finance to ensure risk and liabilities are reduced and tamed for every campaign you touch.  

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 - 8 years of related professional experience, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of the overall media and social landscape, with an emphasis on digital experience.
  • Deep expertise in managing influencer programs end to end.
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms, including paid amplification and campaign optimization.
  • Familiarity with a broad set of social, influencer analytics tools.
  • Experience leading a team is an asset.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasker with excellent time-management skills.
  • Collaborative; self-motivated; entrepreneurial; endlessly curious.

NYC Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
