THE JOB / Account Trainee, Golf Hospitality (Luxury Automotive Client)

EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

 ***Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (2-3 days a week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Los Angeles, CA or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.***

We are searching for an Account Trainee to join our luxury automotive golf hospitality team as we look to execute the client’s title sponsor event on the PGA TOUR. In this role, you will assist in the on-site execution of various event management duties and day to day activities at the event. This position will expose you to a large-scale sponsorship event, giving you a look at the work that takes place behind the scenes! Although this is a temporary position, it requires full time hours, including weekends, nights and holidays.

The right candidate will be able to work as part of a team and will collaborate with various internal teams and divisions, client partners/vendors, and consumers. Strong team-dynamic skills, excellent organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for this position.

This position offers a unique opportunity to learn account management, hospitality best practices, client engagement, vendor management, event planning, experiential strategy, on-site logistics and event activation skills! This position will also allow you to be included in brainstorming sessions, create presentations (PowerPoint) and learn more about banquet, food & beverage services.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Assist with onsite event preparation, operations, and execution
  • Collaborate with tournament staff and other on-site vendors
  • Assist attendees with pre-registration and onsite registration
  • Manage distribution of event ticketing
  • Help prepare documents ahead of the event, such as gifting and shipping trackers, welcome packets, and run of show
  • Help plan and implement off-site events
  • Participate in daily event set-up and breakdown
  • Represent and communicate aspects of the brand to patrons of the event

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 1+ years of relevant experience
  • A passion for sports, entertainment, event management, and/or hospitality
  • Previous event or marketing experience a strong plus
  • A strong attention to detail and interest in hosting events and guest experiences
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within strict timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team
  • Independently proactive to solve problems effectively and independently, taking initiative with minimal supervision
  • A “whatever it takes to get the job done” demeanor
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work long hours including weekends and holidays for a major sponsorship activation event
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for this position

This position pays minimum wage and is overtime-eligible.
