The Team

The team at Dubber is a group of talented engineers who specialise in building, running and operating secure, resilient and scalable platforms to capture audio and video streams from a variety of sources. The team is currently embarking on an exciting journey to modernise, simplify and consolidate Dubber UK’s existing platform. We are a passionate group with a culture of creativity, technical innovation and getting things done.

The Role

We have a need for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations EMEA, you will take responsibility for the administration, maintenance and management of our UK Hybrid Cloud Platform. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference within a small, enthusiastic, highly focused, talented and creative team.

We are about to embark on a significant and exciting body of work to migrate workloads into cloud-native, modern environments.

Your Impact

  • Provide day to day system administration of the hybrid Cloud Platform 
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, tasks – seeking to automate solutions where possible  
  • Perform complex troubleshooting tasks of systems and architecture
  • Assist the global team in transitioning the platform toward Infrastructure-as-code in a new cloud native environment
  • Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software, suggesting and providing elegant solutions 
  • Provide continued support to existing Infrastructure, which being hybrid in nature still currently requires some remote overview of data-center activities
  • Monitoring and remediation of issues relating to our public and private clouds
  • Play a central role within upgrade / renewal and future projects from an infrastructure / platform perspective
  • Work as part of a small team to provide 24x7x365 Infrastructure support

Your Experience

  • You must have 6+ years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineer role or similar 
  • You have a strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows system administration 
  • You have solid hands-on experience using AWS and Private Cloud Technologies 
  • Experience with CI/CD and using terraform for infrastructure as code
  • You have a track record of providing automation solutions using common tooling 
  • You have experience implementing and maintaining enterprise grade monitoring solutions, including emergent technologies
  • You have strong working knowledge of LAN and WAN networking technologies including networking protocols – i.e. DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, VLANS, CDN, BGP and Load-balancing technologies 
  • Experience managing sever rack infrastructure, cabling, power and associated break / fix activities
  • Server virtualisation using Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware and containerisation using Kubernetes
  • You have an understanding of PCI compliance and how it relates to the design and maintenance of a platform infrastructure 

Nice to Haves

  • If you have an understanding of VoIP including SIP/RTP - great!
