The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the US accounts payable team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, expense reports, and payments. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments, conducting regular performance reviews and offer guidance for professional development.
• Ensure that invoices are properly coded, approved, and posted to the general ledger. Oversee payment runs, working with Cash team to ensure proper set ups and resolve issues.
• Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring all payables and accruals are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related inquiries, both internally and externally. Resolve any issues or disputes regarding invoices, payments, and contract terms.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Treasury, Procurement, and Legal, to streamline workflows and resolve issues related to payments and contracts.
• Prepare and file annual 1099 reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures regarding accounts payable processes.
• Maintain accurate records of all payments and transactions for audit purposes.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Experience with MS Great Plains and Oracle Fusion a plus, must have strong proficiency MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Experience in a trading or financial services firm is highly desirable.
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
