DRW's Trade Management team, supporting the Openlink Endur platform and related systems, seeks a skilled business analyst. This role supports front-, middle-, and back-office functions for our commodities team, with a primary focus on physical energy trading. The ideal candidate will provide first-line user support, addressing and resolving complex issues within Endur. Responsibilities include deal modeling, deal lifecycle management, and product configuration, including risk valuation, P&L reporting, market and reference data setup, new instrument building, deal screen configuration, and template creation. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless daily operations across various integration points and reporting systems. Additionally, this candidate will work closely with the software engineering team to ensure that our software meets functional requirements, including requirement-gathering and manual testing.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Provide best-in-class production support for Openlink Endur, supporting users, anticipating and preventing issues, and ensuring quick recovery from incidents.
- Support integrations between Endur and related systems including researching mapping and connectivity issues.
- Ensure maximum trading system availability.
- Help translate functional requirements to technical requirements.
- Help end users and developers understand core trading and back-office systems.
- Manage user access to Endur, related tools, and 3rd party applications.
- Build documentation for common procedures, troubleshooting scenarios, and system architecture.
- Coordinate efforts with other support teams to ensure continuity and consistency of support in a 24x7 environment.
What’s needed in this role:
- ETRM Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of ETRM processes across front, middle, and back office functions, particularly in Natural Gas and Power trading.
- ION Openlink Endur Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of the ION Openlink Endur product platform, including its architecture, key modules, and data model.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working with Endur, including some in a support or system administration capacity.
- Able to write SQL queries using knowledge of the Endur data model.
- Deal Modeling and Configuration:
- Proficient in deal modeling, deal lifecycle management, and product configuration within Endur.
- Skills include:
- Risk valuation
- P&L reporting
- Market & reference data setup
- New instrument building
- Deal screen configuration
- Template creation
- Support Experience:
- Experience in L2/L3 support of the Endur production environment.
- Experience testing new features before production release.
- General Experience:
- Ability to effectively communicate with business users to gather requirements.
- Capable of translating requirements into technical specifications for developers.
- High level of ownership and strong follow-through.
- Ability to handle pressure and time constraints with composure.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
- Able to have clear and concise conversations, both written and verbal, with a variety of personalities.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Nice to Have:
- Ability to code simple scripts, ideally using JVS, OpenComponents, Java, or Python.
- Experience managing and navigating complex projects in Jira.
