The DMS team is looking for a driven and dynamic Communications and Brand Manager to manage global external and internal communications and brand efforts for the company. Based in London and working directly with senior leadership, we’re looking for someone with a strong music and media industry network, solid media relations and social marketing skills who wants to help grow the in-house communications function for DMS and can execute a vision to make DMS the best brand in the music industry. The ideal candidate will have good strategic instincts with a willingness to roll up their sleeves. We’re looking for candidates who are organized,
self-motivated, and intellectually curious, with good writing skills, an eye for details, and an entrepreneurial spirit. As a member of the broader Downtown communication team, you’ll be connected to colleagues around the world who value collaboration, understand the power of good storytelling, and bring professionalism and empathy to everything they do.

The DMS Communications and Brand Manager will report directly to the DMS Global President and will be based in London, UK.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Manage all external company communications and coordinate with Downtown Holdings
    on branding and press strategy for DMS.
  • Provide day-to-day management of external agencies and contractors, as needed.
  • Oversee the ideation, planning, and publishing of all company social accounts including
    strategy, ideation, voice, operations and analytics.
  • Support DMS executives in media training, drafting speeches and public remarks and
    preparing for panels.
  • Implement, strategize and manage brand partnerships, sponsorships, conference and
    event opportunities for Downtown Music Services
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to design and implement new social
    activations and series that contribute to driving top of mind awareness and consideration
    as well as affinity for the company
  • Identify, measure and report against KPIs across press and social channels. Use
    analytics and insights to drive testing and optimization strategies as appropriate.
  • Regularly report to internal partners, senior leadership, and external partners on
    communication successes and opportunities
  • Share and scale learnings across the company, and build a playbook for social within the
    company and beyond.
  • Contribute to brand positioning and messaging with all external outlets.

You are / have: 

  • Based in London (relocation is not offered)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with G-Suite, Microsoft Office and/or iWork (Keynote, Pages, Numbers), media
    monitoring software
  • Fluent in English, with bonus points for fluency or strong working proficiency in Spanish,
    French, and/or Japanese
  • 3-5 years of experience working in communications, preferably within the music or
    entertainment industry
