Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in providing and maintaining the fundamental master data set residing in the ERP. They will work closely with multiple teams across the organization to manage data change requests, solve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement activities around Master Data. The position requires knowledge of manufacturing processes, a robust understanding of the significance of accurate data management and a demonstration of an excellent eye for detail. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, and will lead the effort to stand-up processes and governance as we make the exciting transition to a new ERP.
This role is hybrid with travel to our two facilities in Burr Ridge and Elmhurst 2-3 days/week
About the role:
- Executing key data creation, maintenance and data design for Master Data in the ERP and associated systems
- Creating Bills of Material, Recipes, Purchasing info records, Purchasing and Planning/Scheduling parameters, etc
- In collaboration with subject matter experts and master data management, defines and implements data governance strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the domain master data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable
- Contributes to development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
- Creates master data flow and business process flowcharts
- Identifying and participating in or leading process improvement initiatives
- Troubleshooting ERP execution problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions
- Works closely with the Business/Business Systems/IT to ensure alignment of master data rules
Experience & Skills we value:*
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Analytics, Data Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Services, Mathematics or Applied Statistics or equivalent work experience
- Preferred minimum 3 years work experience
- Ability to work independently with little day-to-day direction
- Strong organizational, technical, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop solutions where processes and procedures do not currently exist
