The Business Systems Analyst will be working  directly with inside and outside stakeholders, translating business needs into high-quality product requirements, documenting business processes and firming up product requirements aligned to company needs. Double Good’s business model is a B2B2C via an ecommerce platform. Our popcorn is produced JIT (just-in-time) to ensure maximum freshness for our customers and has a quick turnaround for our customer’s supporters.

Double Good will be selecting and migrating to a new cloud based ERP platform over the next two making analysis and documentation of our business processes critical.

The expectation for this role is to perform analysis to track the performance of the current system solutions product, to build business buy-in for releases and to evaluate new release outcomes. 

Additionally, this role assists to test technical solutions for  business problems by defining, analyzing, and documenting test requirements to support the system integration between commercial software packages and custom automation solutions for our production and shipping facilities; conducting various levels of user acceptance  test requirements at the project and product level, helping to implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way and communicating clearly with all stakeholders, facilitators and partners while maintaining quality standards.

This role is based out of our Elmhurst facility with local travel to other locations

About the role:

  • Document business processes by functional unit (manufacturing operations, supply chain, shipping, customer operations, HRIS)  for Double Good Supply and identify gaps in the process.
  • Define the knowledge gaps in the business and how knowledge management/mentoring can be improved across the business.
  • Define business requirements for application needs of the manufacturing operations, supply chain, shipping, customer operations functions
  • Train end-users to help them understand the changes. Help the users to work with the new solution through training videos and manuals in  training sessions.
  • Identifying, analyzing and documenting complex defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies in software program functions, including but not limited to, outputs, online screens, content and security.

Experience & Skills we value:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, MIS, IT, Information Sciences or other related field preferred
  • Demonstrated success in defining user requirements and improving business processes ideally in conjunction with ERP systems for manufacturing operations, supply chain, shipping, and/or customer operations
  • Experience with Waterfall, and ideally, Agile methodologies 
  • Mapping business and technical requirements into test suites, test cases and test scripts. Manage user acceptance testing process.
  • Prepare technical documentation and conduct video training modules to be used by end users and others.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

Nice to have and/or you’ll learn: 

  • Experience with a cloud based ERP like Oracle Netsuite, MS D365, Plex, Shipstation, Acumatica, Rippling, MVP CMMS ideally with one or more of the following modules: order-to-cash, design-to-deploy, procure-to-pay, HRIS and financials
  • Experience integrating ERP modules via APIs and iPaaS (for example Dellboomi) to ecommerce and/or external data sources (shipping data)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP 
  • Testing complex web based software and mobile applications in a cross platform and browser environment. Experience testing web services and APIs
