YOU CAN DO THESE THINGS:
Create and execute a strategy which creates a safety first culture at Double Good
Design and implement programs, committees and engagement to build safety into day to day routines.
Build and roll out an environmental & sustainability plan for Double Good
Enable every Double Good employee to feel empowered to proactively improve safety
Develop and execute safety training to educate employees about workplace safety issues (annual & new hire trainings)
Ensure all production employees understand safety risks and their responsibilities for mitigating them
Be responsible for a comprehensive risk management program with a risk assessment system to recognize, evaluate, and control hazards in the workplace
Lead investigations and reporting for all safety related incidents and near misses
Everyone goes home in the same condition in which they came to work
Ensure regulatory compliance for all EHS requirements.
3-5 years in a EHS role, preferably in manufacturing
OSHA certification (501 preferred)
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in occupational safety, industrial hygiene or related field
Great communication skills
Food Manufacturing Experience
