Dorsia is seeking an Accounting Manager to report to the SVP of Finance. As one of our first internal finance team members, you will own our accounting process and oversee financial reporting for our business.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical and financial skills, a deep business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will:
- Own all accounting activities, including working with external providers with the goal of bringing accounting and bookkeeping in-house
- Build standardized financial and accounting processes and policies; strengthen internal controls
- Own the month-end close processes and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders; perform reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Manage the financial reporting process supporting fund-raising efforts, board meetings and investor relations
- Manage all AR and AP activity
- Manage Revenue and Expense functions, own our expense management platform
- Ensure proper US GAAP accounting procedures have been followed
- Handle all tax compliance and filing of quarterly and year end tax returns
- Generate financial models and forecasts; monitor financial performance metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in accounting; experience in a high growth tech startup a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting policies, and an interest in FP&A
- Experience building and scaling financial and accounting operations, with a focus on process optimization and automation
- Exceptional Excel/financial modeling skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability and willingness to execute and build from the ground up, with a “no task too small” mindset
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and ASC 606
- CPA license required
- Experience using Quickbooks Online or similar accounting platform
- Experience in Ramp, Carta, Looker (BI), Bill.com, Justworks are all a plus
