About the Team

The DoorDash Network Engineering Team is responsible for all physical network infrastructure in DoorDash Kitchens, 10+ corporate offices, and 200+ Dashmart Warehouses. We plan, install, configure and support the switches, access points, firewalls and Internet circuits to enable our internal customers to do their best work, and to support the growing needs of the business.

About the Role

The Network Engineer will report to the IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager. Come join our team and get hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting and supporting the DoorDash network infrastructure. 

This is a remote role and requires occasional travel.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Work with technology partners and ISPs to troubleshoot circuit outages and issues
  • Configure network devices (e.g., switches, firewalls and access points) for new Warehouse build outs
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues across a large Cisco Meraki network installation supporting all DoorDash offices, ghost kitchens, and Dashmarts
  • Work with business partners and vendors to assist in turning up new Internet connections
  • Support internal customers to resolve wifi, access, and connectivity issues
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Workplace Services, Audio Visual Engineering, IT, Dashmart, and other teams across DoorDash
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve internal processes to drive smoother, more streamlined network installations and reducing time to resolve issues

We’re excited about you because…

  • You bring 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring and maintaining network devices–Meraki experience is a plus
  • You have assisted with at least one corporate office network turn-up
  • You have experience working with ISPs to troubleshoot outages and issues
  • You want to growing your technical skills while building
  • You have solid creative problem solving skills and don’t give up easily when facing obstacles to successful delivery
  • You use your written and verbal communication skills to distill technical information into easy to understand summaries for stakeholders
  • You thrive in an environment where new ideas are welcomed, and you bring a positive “can do” attitude to the role and to the team!

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
